One of the hardest aspects of learing to follow Christ is the concept of "letting go" and allowing God to truly be Lord of our lives. Bryan and Valerie Bailey of "Mended Vessels" encourage us to take our faith and trust in God to a new level through their acoustic rock CD "Letting Go". It is obvious from the very first note of this CD that there is more behind these songs than just music. The Baileys have a genuine desire to minister to and encourage their listeners. The music is just as powerful as the message, however! Mended Vessels is a solid acoustic rock band which very ably delivers the meaningful lyrics without distracting from them. The strengths of this band are Valerie Bailey's strong voice, the tight vocal harmonies, and the driving acoustic guitar which undergirds many of the songs. Mended Vessels was nominated for a Momentum Award in two catagories ( Contemporary Artist of the Year and Worship Artist of the Year) that will be given at the CIA Summit (a Christian Independent Artist Convention) in Franklin, TN on March 25th.
